What The Daily Reverse is

The Daily Reverse is one email, sent in the morning. It rounds up what we have published and points you to the reporting and primary sources worth your attention that day. It is written to be read in a few minutes and to send you onward to the full stories when something matters to you. It is free, and we intend to keep the core briefing free.

We are a new publication, so we will be honest about what this is today: a straightforward daily email, not a sprawling suite of newsletters. As we grow we may add more, but for now The Daily Reverse is our single, focused briefing, and we would rather do one thing well than promise more than we can deliver.

How to join

To subscribe, enter your email address in the newsletter sign-up form on our homepage. That is all it takes. We ask only for your email address, and we use it only to send you The Daily Reverse. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every issue, and we will not sell or rent your address to anyone. How we handle your information is set out in full in our privacy policy.

What to expect

Expect one briefing on publishing mornings, written by the same newsroom that produces our journalism and held to the same editorial standards. We will not flood your inbox, and we will not use the newsletter to send you disguised advertising; anything sponsored will be clearly labelled as such. If we ever change how often we send or what the briefing contains, we will tell you.

Reader accounts

Right now, subscribing to the newsletter is the only sign-up we offer, and you do not need an account to read anything on the site. We may introduce reader accounts later, for example to save articles or manage preferences, but that does not exist yet, and we will not pretend it does. If and when we build it, we will explain clearly what an account offers and what, if anything, it costs, and signing up will always be your choice.
